Does anybody know which camber bolts to use for the 20vt? I have some Eibach ones that someone here claimed were the right size, but they can't be, the bolt head is smaller than the OE bolt shank! I've got way too much negative camber on one wheel and none on the other, want to bring it to -1 degree both sides. Cheers

The bolt head is smaller, the important bit is to make sure the shank of the bolt PLUS THE CAM is a tight fit into the suspension strut / steering kunckle thingummy. When you put them on, how did you set the cam? (ie: which direction was the cam pointing?) Have you tried adjusting it? How are you measuring camber?

The bolt head is a lot smaller though, the OE nut is 19mm and the camber bolt one is 13mm, and the bolt heads are the same size difference, I know it needs to be a bit smaller, but it can't be that much smaller!

Well without checking mine, I do remember thinking the same as you, that they don't have to be that small, surely? But they do the job (or should do, if adjusted properly).

It's just that the ones I have look like they'll snap under any load! If you could find out for sure if yours are a 13mm bolt head and nut I'd be eternally grateful, as it's not a call I want to make without any extra info, but if yours are the same size then I'll give it a go. Cheers Ross

One side was 13mm, the other 15mm (Only so you didn't have to use the same tool on both sides.....)

I'm almost certain that both the bolt head and the nut were 13mm heads, the shank on the thinnest part was roughly 8mm, not sure about the portion with the cam on it.

ALWAYS fit in the UPPER bolt hole, NEVER the bottom, the bending moment is a massive difference & it WILL shear just by hitting a small bump... been there, did a very EXTENSIVE analysis of the bolt ( from a US source )... It was too brittle & did not match any UK standard... in a word, it was shat. I got rid & slotted my strut upper mounting bolt hole ( the correct way ) or to use some Nordlock washers / fit a big washer, then weld @ the correct camber setting

I'd rather avoid slotting the hole if I can but out of interest how did you do it? Just grinding it out on the bottom of the shock? I've seen plenty of dire warnings about what happens if you fit it in the bottom hole but thank you anyway. Incidentally how did you measure the setting? My local tyre place can measure it but I'm not sure I trust them to set it as they always set my toe wrong. I'm just not sure about fitting the bolts I have, they seem way too small!

I'm not disputing the fact that camber bolts are fine if fitted correctly, I'm just not sure if the bolts I have are the right ones, if somebody who has a set could let me know the size of the nut and the bolt head, as well as the diameter of the shank (not the cam) I'd be very grateful, as I can then compare the dimensions to mine and find out if they're right. Cheers

Excellent, thank you for that, I'll check mine now and if they're right I'll fit them at the weekend. Just in case mine aren't right, could you give me the part numbers for yours please? So I can order the right ones, I've lost the box for mine so I can't just compare numbers. Much appreciated.

Turns out mine are wrong, bolt head and nut are 13mm, shank is 8mm, won't be fitting those then! If someone could advise me of the right part number that'd be fantastic. Cheers
