My insurance has pretty much doubled! And I can't justify paying over £1000 I think it's ridiculous! I just can't afford it as i'm now running my own home!

I've had a quick look at getting it insured through some specialists with fixed mileage but mostly need to be over 25 and I'm only 22.

Does anyone know where I can get cheap insurance with limits? (which i'm happy with) as I'd happily run it at weekends and I'm planning on sharing with my housemates car.

I really dont want to have to take the car off the road! frown

Silly question, but you haven't mentioned it. Have you tried speaking to Neil Willies?

definately worth a call, I've been with Noel Dazely for the last few years but Sarah managed to get me insurance for a £100 quid less than my renewal on a much much better policy love

Have sent of details for Neil Willis but as my renewal isn't until 12/08/2011 cant do anything yet.

Only reason why i'm shopping so early on is if I cant get anything comfortably under 1k the car will have to come off the road as i just wont be able to afford it.

Last year was £700 fully comp and now everyone wants £1500 plus!! Yes, i have had a claim but that was fully recovered from the third party insurer and my NCB hasnt been effected. I've even quoted without mentioning my claim and there's no difference!

Swift cover won't cover me due to my age. Argh, I know i'm young and seen as "high risk" but it's so annoying that you get stereotyped! Considering the amount i've driven over the past few years i'd like to say i'm fairly experienced now and now I dont really drive anywhere!

Sorry this is turning into a rant!

It is Bell who're wanting high prices and I cant pay it in full like I did last year and they always up it loads if you pay monthly.

Bell want £1700. I'd buy a new car for that

Weird, Bell wanted a high renewal for mine, went from £900 to £1300!!
So i went on a compare site and found Elefant could do it for £650. They are the same company too, so i rang bell and they matched it without putting up a fight smile
