Even if policies have 'DOC' the car still has to be insured by the registered keeper, so if you are the registered keeper then you cannot just get away with 'DOC' cover now.

I would assume as you say ...'Really want my coop back on the road'..... then you are the registered keeper of it and therefore you will have to insure it!

New law has now come into force where it is the registered keeper's responsibility to either insure a car or register it sorn, as off the road.
