Last year they had a brilliant Abarth-backed Stunt plane doing all sorts about 50ft off the ground!

Im 50/50 on this one not sure if I want to do a 4 hour round trip. Been to Stansted Airport a couple of time this week, Reading and all over last weekend and going to Thruxton on Thursday. Lots of miles...

Gates open at 0830 and the concours display needs to be in place by 1030. All weekend is supposed to be nice so plenty of pre-event buffing please. I'm aiming for 1030/1100. Forecast is good - there's always stunning cars there - the grounds, river and house are beautiful...... What more can you ask for! See you all there.

If anyone is interested in a group arrival, I'm staying with my in-laws in Crick, which is just off M1 J18, and only just off a logical route to Stanford Hall from the South. Happy to arrange for a pre-meeting (say, in the Car Park of The Wheatsheaf) if anyone wants.

My son ( Leigh ) and myself ( Johnny, jobuguk ) are coming in his moon gery 20vt6,

I've only just put my engine back in mine, hopefully my project car will be ready for next year.

Marco looks like its free for approved concours entrants! You do need to pre-apply though:

Congratulation to PJ for winning the concourse with his moon grey plus. Sorry to not catch up with people, arrived late in the vx. My coupe was at work as I had forgotten all about it until today.

Great to meet some of you today and enjoy a day out with the family. Thank you to those that said nice things about my very standard but much loved normally aspirated car.

Ooh, I'm hurt, wounded, she was waxed (oo-err) only 3 years ago!

I just really have been wanting to ham up the 'before' to emphasise the 'after' when hopefully next year it will be relatively, rust, hole free and gleaming in glorious pink red again!

She comes off the road in a few weeks for a long awaited touch of tlc.

Had a good time, got pretty suntanned too somehow, nice to put some faces to names and breathe in the air of overwhelming enthusiasm.

Yet another crackin' meet at Stanford. Nice to speak to a few faces and get known especially brigguscoop for the X1/9 talk (save it!) and to Mario who must be the only original LE owner from new!! Apologies if I did not see all.
Some lovely Coupes there and other Italian dream machines.
We left a little early as my 4 year old was getting cold - at least it just about stayed dry. Enjoyed a nice arrival followed by a Beta Montecarlo and exited to the M6 with a 550 Maranello. Will post my 9 year old's photos asap.

Highlights for me Coupes aside.....

2. My first 2 458 Italias (bigger than I thought)
3. That amazing original 500 in the concours

Coupe pics and random others

Was a good show, impressive turnout for the Coupe when you bear in mind it was also Spa. There were about 20 of us, and it seemed like most of them were moon!

The green one in Andy's photos was a diesel!

Some nice exotica around, 458, Enzo etc, and I'm not sure I've even seen an ISO before. For me the best car of the day was Pea Green N-Reg Fiat 126 - 8700 miles from new, and with a hand written service history saying things like:

1988 - Started Engine
1992 - Started Engine
1997 - Started Engine

Amazing. Better still, they had driven it there. Will find a photo.

Also, Hello to the fella and his son who followed us to Doncaster on the M1 / M18 in a Brown A-Reg Strada Convertible. Another lovely car.

Great show and good Coop turnout. I could't believe how many moon greys there were there, I thought it was a rare colour.
