Just spoke with KJ, things not looking good still, he is totally stuck near Boxhill, and if anyone doesn't know Boxhill it will be awful in this weather, and now can't move, I have unfortunately tried to get my car out to get to him, but I am stuck at the bottom of a hill too, so that's me buggered!

I have told him where to get some food from, and offered him a place to stay if he can get to me, but that's if he can drive the 8 miles or so!

The problem he has is he is stuck and has no breakdown, recovery, etc.. what can he do in this situation?

I think at the moment for anyone to try to reach him, you will need snow tyres or a good offroader or probably both!

Added to this now, its also started snowing again.

I told KJ where the next town is, its a mile or so away from him, and he will be able to get food and hopefully some snow chains or socks!

If there's anyone in Leatherhead who can help, KJ needs help urgently.

His car is stuck on Mill Way B2033 at Headley; he has his wife and 3-month old baby in the car.

He is about to attempt to walk to Leatherhead to try and get either snow-chains or socks for the car and food for Lene - she *must* be fed in the next three hours.

So if you're anywhere near and can help - please do.

If he is a mile from Leatherhead he OUGHT to be OK. The problem is that the SE is going to get another shed-load of snow tonight... up to 8 inches according to BBC SE. It has already started here in Kent, and the wind is drifting the damn stuff. At least 10inches already in my back garden.

The next feasible time for a journey down this way will be Friday lunchtime.... frown .

Would love to help, but living where I do I would not be able to drive 1/2 mile in any direction without a SERIOUS 4x4... partly because all the roads are blocked by people without them!

I've spoken to Klaas.

They are getting desperate now. They can't walk there it is a mile there and back and they have no food for the baby.

Is no one near around there? Failing that they will have to call the police.

This is where he is according to Neils post, when I spoke to him he was stuck on Lodge Bottom Road, just south of where he is now!

You will need a seriously good car to get there, they are very steep, quiet country roads out that way!

I feel so useless reading this. If I wasnt so far away I get down there pronto. Marco, it's got to be worth picking Mario up and giving it a go? Even if it's just to bring supplies for the little one.

Is there anywhere local for you to buy some cheap snow socks?

Use multimap, search for Leatherhead and pan SE towards Headley. Lodgebottom Road is quite visible.

You'll need a damn serious vehicle - good luck!

Possibly a silly idea but is anyone around that way near to a Range Rover/Land Rover/Toyota etc dealership? Perhaps a little explanation as to how they could help might prove fruitful?

Right - looking at the Google maps image, there are a couple of farms nearby - is there a way of finding the details and contacting a farmer to go and rescue them - I'm willing to chuck a few quid the farmer's way if it'll help
