Ok your boring me now but go on then why when a car is written off do they ask for the log book. Because they become both the legal owner and the registered keeper. I'm sorry that you're finding this boring, but if you're going to suggest fraud on a public forum you should at least be prepared to defend your advice.
Dear monos, a secret truth.

All of that and still if the log book doesn't represent ownership what does?

Cheers Jase this is getting way over complicated it is pretty simple... If you look into every eventuality in insurance eg tyres under a certain amount of tread etc etc then theres always ways a company can get out of paying. You CAN use your driving other cars extention in this mannor if you know what your doing and are check policy wording. IM OUT

The V5 (it's not called a log bog and hasn't been for many years) shows the keeper of the vehicle. It states (in section c5) that it does not indicate the owner of the vehicle. There is no single document that indicates ownership.
Look at a simple case - a vehicle purchased under a hire purchase scheme. The keeper of the vehicle will be named on the V5, but it is the HP company which has ownership of the vehicle.
The vast majority of the time it is convenient for an insurer to assume that the owner and registered keeper are the same entity, but if it suits them to do so they are fully entitled to treat them as different.
Whichever way you cut this what you're proposing is insurance fraud, and that increases the cost of insurance for everybody, which brings us full circle - your advice is wrong, please don't post it here again.
