4 spoke 20vt wheels are et40.
4 double spoke 20vt Plus wheels are et42.
Or the other way around? crazy but definitely 40/42

BUT
You really can't tell if the aftermarket wheels will fit without trying them.

The Brembo caliper clearance issue depends on the shape of the spokes - there are wheels with identical dimensions (eg. 17x7 et40), some fit, some dont!

Fiat stock 20vt wheels have "flat" spokes, and they leave around 3 mm of clearance.

Lower ET helps the chances it'll clear the Brembos, but You can't be sure... I changed my std. Plus whees for a 17x7 et38 rims, and needed to add 12mm spacers to regain the 3mm Brembo clearance.

The offset is only part of the story - its the spoke design that has the greatest influence on whether or not they'll clear the brembos

There are some wheels that fit with acres of room and others (with the same offset) that are nowhere near clearing the calipers

cheers guys, basically it would be best to try the wheels on first.

i have ordered a set with an et42 so we shall see what gap that leaves and what spacer i may need.
