My mate painted his deathtrap Mk2 Fiesta XR2 lookalike with hammerite, and I can safely say that it looked like total shat...

If you want a matt finish get a vinyl wrap, don't use hammerite.

When I was just a baby my brother was watching my dad paint the underseal on his car. My dad got distracted somehow and my brother started painting the front wing with underseal laugh

That is bad.

As a respray on a total banger for £80 then fine, but as something respectable, then fail.

Some one recently posted a link to a matt black Coupe - think it was French....

Anyways, whilst I'm all for doing something different I don't really think the FIAT suits it. Not aggressive enough looking and it's also been done to death IMO.

How about a harlequin Coop? wink

if you're going to do it, get a proper spray gun and thin the hammerite 2:1

Well now all you need is paint and a month or 6 of time.

Good luck. See you in 2011.

why not get an old bonnet from the scrappers and give it a go; then upload the pictures/video here for an instant verdict smile

i was thinking along them lines too, im on the look out for a wing or something to see how it looks and how well it sticks.

if i was to jump over the fence of a scrap yard and rip a wing off, would that be stealing? judge
