Just renewed my insurance with Noel Dazely. I was with Greenlight, they were very helpful last year when I had an accident, but could not beat Noel Dazely this year. Saved about £100, now paying £570 for 7 yrs NCB but have made one claim while protected.

I've usually dealt with a guy called Dean, who seems to be the one that knows most about the coupe. They're all nice people though.

I agree, mine is due 1st of Feb i have 9 points (3 x SP30) + i'm a sales rep which usually adds a few quid but i do have 5 years NCB.

My current company Endsleigh came up with an offer of £930

Spoke to Dean here and they cam back at £465

Guess which i'm going with.

Good point - aparently its much cheaper if you have a female named driver on the policy. I'm sure there was athread discussing this about a year ago.

It should be noted about Noel Dazely that they seem to be stuck in some 1980s time-warp type thing.

If you're used (as I was) to dealing with people like Elephant where you phone up, answer a few questions, give them your credit card number and you're covered then you may get a bit of a shock.

Firstly they expect you to complete a proposal form before they'll cover you and they don't have any e-mail/scanning facilities to get one of these out.

I had a huge panic because I left it until the day before I needed cover to sort things out and then had to deal with them by fax (!), which meant me installing a fax modem in my computer and desperately trying to work out how to use fax software. It was all a bit stressful.

Dear monos, a secret truth.

Just do it at work like me...fax machine on tap but yes, like many 'traditional' brokers, they are a bit old fashioned

I've just made the switch to Noel Dazely from greenlight.

Greenlight wanted £687 for the year compared to Noel who came in at £564 with the car insured for 5k all mods and the Mrs on with no extra to pay

So theres a saving of £123 nice

Wow..never thought I would move from Admiral, however this year they quoted over £700 for 10 months bonus scheme.. (I have 4yrNCB, no points)

Rang the usual list including Greenlight and Aquote and they were coming back the same..

Rang Noel Dazeley and waheyy £545 including fifty thousand mods (he he wee bit exageration).. no really I am having some heavy mods done later in year and they said its all covered

12 months Fully Comp with all mods £545 ..awesome!!!

Just phoned them and spoke to Dean, he said that it would be low £400 for me and the mrs, paying £475 at the moment with Lifesure.
Then again my insurance isn't due until December but wanted to know if it was worth cancelling my existing and starting with them.
He said mods would only add between 10 and 20 % too!

coupedave, how come it is so cheap? Your car must be standard, you must have years of safe driving as well as NCB..

Told me it would be about £440 with mods.
I'm 34 with 9 years NCB and been driving for 17 years. This quote also has my wife as a second driver, she's 27 with 5 years NCB.
Been driving high performance cars for the past 11 years aswell.
Apparently where we live is one of the lowest risk areas in Britain!!
He said it will probably be cheaper come time for renewal too.
