Just a straw poll at the moment, how many people would be interested in showing at this event the home of "Top Gear"? Details are HERE for club entry, but it's as the name suggests it's cars and aircraft also supported by Brooklands. Further details can be seen from the link. We could do both days or just one, or a some cars on each day and it does give you a 40% discount on admission ticket price so might be worth a go?

I've yet to go to this event as I've always been busy that weekend. My neightbour goes and takes his boys and always says it's good. So by posting this thread early it makes me put asside the time to paticipate. I'm only looking for an interest level to see whether it's feasable

If we want to be there as a "FCCUK" we'll have to be quick on confirmed bookings as the 40% off offer only applies to advance club bookings recieved before the 2nd of July. I would have thought 10 Coupe would look a decent enough number But I sense that this will not happen. I know it's a long way off but it's already mid June, doesn't it just fly by.

just booked mine for the monday cost us 24.50 for 2 and geting the car in the static show to, not sure if any one else has dune this but its cheeper than normal booking plus means you dont have to leave the car park some where in a car park

was good meeting few more faces and was a good day out even if i did leave a bit early but was worth as got the coupe all back up and running just a shame i couldent bring her down but plenty more events

What a fantastic day today...glad to see six top coupes on display (well five if you discount my old nail!)

The flying displays were awesome, especially the Harrier and the Typhoon...oh and the Spitfire/Mustang combination..ah yes and the Lancaster..in fact it was all brilliant...

To add icing to the cake, my 16 year old son fulfilled his dream of getting his hands on a Dodge Viper...the owner was brilliant letting him sit in the drivers seat and explaining the finer details of the car...

This is certainly the best show I've attended in years! Well done all involved.

It may have been cold, but with the strong north wind blowing across the airfield and 8 hours of sun during the day, I got sun and wind burnt despite already having the remains of a suntan.

As Jon and Joe have said, it was a good day out with good people.

Excellent day and great to see some lovely coupes. Nice to put some faces to names etc. Next time I'll be leaving the troops behind so I can get my car in the line up too!

Superb day out . As my first event as an owner and FCCUK member, many thanks to all the folks for making me feel so welcome; really looking forward to the next one (AGM?). Will try to put up some pictures later (when my son shows me how ),

Was a great day, even though my daughter got sunburnt. Came all prepared for rain with wellies , fleece jumpers and waterproofs and it turned into a scorcher!

Next year lets see if we can get on the runway for a blast. Heard Jon got offered to join one of the other club owners on the runway?

Would be fun to have a Coupe run on the runway next year (provided one doesn't break ),

Yep we must get more organised for next year and we will get some of us down that infamous "Top Gear" full speed runway. Perhaps I'll start the list now I'm sorry I didn't spend much time by the cars, they seemed to attract a good amount of interest, which is the idea of the event, it helps to keep the breed alive. Maybe, we could be the bigggest club there and dominate the static and runway section, now there's an idea that would get us some good pulicity and have a great day out to boot. That black fezza just looks way too pimped.

quick though! The best noise of the day though (as shown in the other piccies) was the 512. Stunning car (and the driver wasn't bad either; female I can assure you in case rumours start ).

One car that my son forgot to take a picture of was the 1990 Benetton F1 car. Nelson Picquet won at Adelaide and Singapore in this car; the guy who had bought it turned up in his other car, a Ferrari F40. Talking to him in the paddock the son-of-a-gun had three other Ferraris . Amazing how the other half live! Makes the money I spend on the Coupe seem like half a bag of peanuts!
