Got the car readied for Combe next Monday.
Both rear wheel bearings, discs and pads renewed. Broken bonnet release handle replaced. Front left tyre horrendously delaminated after last day. Binned. Need a nice dry day to take the slicks (Dunlop ex VW cup tyres) - Optimistic! Else I'm on the hunt for another pair of semi slicks for the fronts.
Everyone else ready? Sounds good Everything's ready on mine. Will be it's first track day after stripping it etc. Think the back end is too high, so hopefully not too oversteery Brakes are unbelievably powerfull but a bit too easy to lock up. Overall pretty happy. I reckon it's 175-180bhp and around 925kg.

How did it go? The weather here was bright sun, so hopefully ok at Castle Coombe?

Glad it went well. Sounds really tempting. I'll have to dig out my crash helmet (which is still as new in its box!). Just a bit chicken about completely wrecking my old girl!

Was a very enjoyable day, good to see the usual culprits as ever.
Didn't take any video (wouldn't have seen anything but spray - that's all I saw all day!).
The morning session was very wet, and were it not for Robfow's generosity in lending me a pair of his Goodyear Eagles I'd have struggled on the semi slicks I brought. As it was, I enjoyed my cars usual predictability in wet conditions to be hitting 115-120 up Avon Rise.
In the afternoon, the rain stopped for a few hours, and on went the semi slicks. And with that, came lack of grip on the greasy surface. I spun off at Camp (although not as spectacularly as the other "notorious" green coupe did at the same spot. I went backwards onto the grass at about 75mph, kept away from the wall and span round at the last moment to at least point the right way(showmanship!).
Really need a good set of wet weather track tyres. Trying a combo of road/track only bought less grip, so for all you thinking of running these options, don't!

Some cracking photos there. I really enjoyed driving CC a few years back, plenty of run off for those little errors
