I have a black 1999 20VT LE. Can anyone give me any advice of how much I can sell it for bearing in mined that the engine has gone (it still turns over and the car goes but the garage says the big end has gone, therefore it can be fixed)

The car has a new clutch a year ago and a new turbo 3 months ago.

ok, any more details please, mileage, condition, history location etc.

Mileage is about 90,000, Cambelt done at 70k, (last service was 80k (at Wigan Pauls) and its been services reguarly before that, interior in good condition, bodywork - small bump near the right hand brake light where someone reversed into me!!! Overall not bad could proabably do with going to dint devil.

The car is LE#57 I think, ill have to have look at the plaque. All the usual LE trimmings no mods except for new 360 degree thrust bearing turbo (only 3 months old) and power flow stainless steel backbox.

I am absolutly gutted to have to sell this car over the past 2 years of ownership I have spent the following:

New Oil Cooler and oil pipes - £200?
New 360 Thrust Bearing turbo - £800
New Clutch - £500
4 new Perilli P ZEROs - £500

If someone's got a 20vt lump to fit straight in then it would be ideal. Otherwise, I think the engine can be reconditioned.

Oh yeah power flow back box £150.

There car is in Crewe at the moment near to Stoke and I live in Manchester.

It won't be ready to go straight away. My orginal post was aking for an idea of how much people thought it was worth. This is because I want to get a second opinion on the engine and whether it is repairable. But i should know moe my next week end.

ok, let me know, i'd be suprised if that offer gets beat, by the time an engine at 800 (used 60k) plus fitting, recovery and a trip in the paintshop it will be costing close to the 4.5k needed to buy a ready to go one!
