Hi,

Saturday we had a first drag racing event in Alstaro circuit in Finland. Weather was excellent, although it was way too hot in afternoon and we had wind against the run direction.

Anyway new record done:
ET 12.366s, 189.23 km/h (117.6 mph)
60ft: 1.806s !! \:\)
660': 8.164s, 148.22 km/h (92.1 mph)
1000': 10.447s

All this done with Bridgestone S-03 tires !! Tire pressure 2.4 bar (34.8 psi)

Official results can be found from:
http://www.fhra.fi/pdf/v8_autot08.pdf
Car No 106

All the other runs went ...., because of too hard trying \:\) .

You'd never get a launch of 1.8s to 60ft at Santa Pod, not even if you put glue on your F1 spec race slicks!

Hi Nigel,

The surface was (is) the best we can have in Finland. It has huge grip also with street tires, but the temperature "window" is very small, like last saturday, afternoon the track was too hot and normal street tires where simply melting. They were like there were oil on the track.

Key point in my launch was the getting full speed with small wheel spin in first gear and second gear was doing the same, small wheel spin up to excellent grip and the time was there \:\) .

I could easily think launch like that with launch control, some 10-15% wheel spin with small gears.

All my other runs I ruined just because of the huge wheel spin in first and second gear.
