http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www/car...earch_full.y=13Im looking for a 20v turbo, this one has caught my eye. What are they like with this mileage? (130k) Can anybody see anything wrong with it from the description and pictures? It looks clean, maybe too clean Anybody recognise it? I just thought Id ask because its a fair journey from me (the auto trader has my address wrong) and dont want to waste my petrol if I can avoid it. Thanks

my observations
driver's seat looks a little baggy - not what you'd expect with very low mileage
why replace discs at 13,600? (which almost certainly aren't Brembo discs as stated in the ad) - perhaps they had corroded badly - possibly because the car has been standing for a long time (not good)
Why would the cambelt have been replaced twice? - once, certainly, because of age. Nopthing worng with replacing more often than required, but I would question why.
It has horribly cheap front tyres on and there's a chunk out of the sidewall of the one in the piccy
It has different rear tyres on each rear wheel
It has a melted rear bumper
the passenger door is a very slightly different shade of banana to the rest of the car (could just be the photo, but I don't think so - shows on more than one photo, and drivers door matches perfectly)
It hasn't been lowered 40mm as per the ad - it looks like very standard ride height
aircon may not work - who do you know has it set to 26 degrees in summer?
carpet on the wheelarch in the driver's footwell is worn through (small light coloured spot) - mine is the same (but mine's done 20 times the alleged mileage of this one)
cable to rad fans is loose - two grille retaining pins missing, red cable near battery sugggests there are some electrical accessories somewhere
Can't spot anything else
Definitely worth viewing, but try and bribe a Coupe forum regular to go and view with you

Its quite obviously done 136k miles.
Cam belt would have been due a 2nd time around, not only by fiat recommendations but also most specialists advice.

Seems quite a common ply by some traders to put much lower mileage in an ad to get those low mileage lovers to call up Like those that say 80 miles but that's because they are 80 miles from wherever :mad:Far too low a price for a true low miler, but 2.5k seems about normal for what traders advertise a high mile 20vt for...I'd still clear of the seemingly dishonest (or innumerate) so-and-so and find a nice example in the for sale section on here

Nice observations, you've seen things on it that I would never of seen, especially with my rose tinted car buying goggles on The mileage is 136k, I expected this as the cambelt had been done 2 times, the seller told us this straight away and said it was just an error while typing the add. I would never buy a car this old with only 13k anyway. I like cars that have been used and not stood somewhere rotting.

Take your time, and wait for the perfect one to come along. I watched the market for 4 months before I saw the one I wanted, then snapped it up right away. If youre unsure on one then there is surely a better one waiting

Looks well looked after and recent clutch and cambelt is a bonus. Definitely worth viewing, I would be surprised if no-one on here knows this car as it just looks 'forum owned' with the black wheels and painted engine cover thingy.
