Changed in Jan 2005. So anything before this date should have an MPH speedo (unless it came from somewhere else as an import..RHD & KM? UK forces Germany? Australia?

No, in 2003 one of my customers purchased 10 mercedes 53 seat coaches from the UK, all speedos were changed to KPH. How could this have been? Confused Is it because it was bought in the UK and then shipped over?

Front splitters are missing. Knowing the roads in Athlone, I'm not surprised!

jayzee, I think the front splitters are not missing, on the side photo I think it looks like they are in fact attached. Can't see the front clearly though.
Sideways a LOT

Difficult to tell. But for £9.5k the wheels aren't correct and some numpty has fitted a rear spoiler.

15k miles, looks very clean but shame about the wheels and while there is nothing wrong with decent spoilers, that particular one is #####. I will be speaking to someone tomorrow who may know the answer to the kilometre clock question if I remember to ask!

Checked it out.Kilometre speedo was an option and as two LEs were sold to Italians living in Dublin,my guess is its one of those.

Yes it is Robert's LE. A very nice chap too.
I contacted him and he confirmed that an Italian chap originally owned the car hence the KPH. It was one of many vehicles that he owned hence the lack of use.
It was then bought by a very young chap who owned it for six months but the insurance killed him, so sold it on to Robert.
Robert still has the original wheels (curbed) with as new tyres.
Apart from a couple of dings, one on the leading edge of the bonnet and looks to be expensive, this is the closest to a new LE you are going to get. He very kindly emailed me pictures of said damage.
It hasn't had the cambelt done though and the exhaust is on the way out so this must be factored.
If I lived in Ireland, I would have seriously gone for this car (subject to a proper viewing) but with the exchange rate alone the car would cost £9.5k + UK import duty, together with cambelt and exhaust you are looking at possibly £12-13k. If I were to lock her in a garage, maybe one day I would get my money back.
If I were to sell her on within 1-year as circumstances do change, I would loose half it's value in 1-year. A risk I cannot take.
I suggested that Robert advertise her on this forum, we'll see
