After 18 months of ownership i am going to be in need to sell my 20vt 1998 in the coming weeks due to emmigrating. She is green with 78k miles, has a Clifford concept 500 alarm, sunroof , black leather, Cambelt done at Powerfiat at 66k. She has a stainless exhaust but otherwise standard. Good inside and out beside small chip on corner of door (have ordered touch up with fiat dealer or small fee with scratchmaster?) and one back light area is starting to bubble but otherwise unmarked.
I was wondering what she would be worth given a while to sell. Any ideas thanks Lee

ps i have been unable to find the service history book . Will this make much difference considering its never let me down, has oil pressure at 2.5 and pulls like a train.

Do you have any other proof that the mileage is genuine? ie old MOTs, service receipts etc. If not, it will certainly hit the value and saleability of your car. You could offset the lack of service book by getting a mechanical report done on the car to show that oil pressure,compression and general engine condition is good.

service receipts will be of more interest to a PRIVATE buyer and are more comprehensive at listing what work the car has had.

its mainly dealers that ask for a service book.

if you have neither of those then the value will suffer and do as AlanW says and get a full healthcheck done to aid sale of the car.

I have the last 5 yrs of MOT certs and the mileage is specified on the reciept for the cambelt change as well as the reciept of my initial purchase of the car.
I also have two previous warranty documents with a service written up in both of them..one being fiat which is stamped. I feel that there is no question that the mileage is correct
Taking this into consideration is the value affected at all and what should i advertise it at... Many thanks Lee
