Is there likely to be a convoy heading out there or are we just making our own way to Turin?
I have a couple of options being this far north; Ferry across from Newcastle and meet up with the Dutch/Belgian group or drive down to the south coast and join whatever convoy is organised.
The ferry will save me a few hundred road miles but takes a fair bit longer so open to suggestions. Is there anybody coming down from Scotland?
This is how it should have come out of Torino!

I'm looking at a shorter round trip, possibly repeating the return via the Stelvio pass, 'Ring and Abarth Museum
Thu 20th early morning ferry/tunnel, overnight in France/Germany maybe even Switzerland Fri 21st drive via St. Bernard Pass to Turin, overnight in Turin Sat 22nd day and night in Turin Sun 23rd day in Turin, head north and overnight in Italy/Austria? Mon 24th head to the 'Ring again? Tue 25th a few laps of the 'Ring then head to Abarth museum and evening ferry/tunnel return

What do people think about renting a villa or similar for a few nights near Turin? https://www.holidaylettings.co.uk/rentals/turin/5243456This is an expensive example, but shows what might be on offer ... If between 8 or 9 of us it wouldn't be so much a night ... Would be like a mini meet with a few coupes in the grounds.

Rob I'd love to put my name down on this list and join you, it be a great follow up to our italian road trip last year and in the new coupe but can't see it happening for this one but I'll put my name down for the 30th anniversary.

I would think the extra for the people wanting to stay the extra night is not huge for 2/3 people to share? Downside for this place is the 1 hour to Turin.

Joe I'll be interested in joining your convoy.
Any idea what the toll road cost might be going through France? Last time I took the quickest route down, mostly in France on Autoroutes, and paid around £100 for the privilege, but no stopping at toll booths with a Liber-t tag.

Any idea what the toll road cost might be going through France? Yes cool, toll wise it's gone up, if we take the A6 it'll cost around £150.00, it's an early start to reach Paris by dinner time but as it's motorway we'll cruise it.

Hi Joe,
My plans have had to change as I cannot leave Leicester until 19th June, and have to be back by 25th June so I will be taking the quick route down France and back.
I have booked the Holiday Inn so will see you all in Turin on the 21st

With regard to the tolls through France, would it be a case of getting a tag or paying at the booths and do you have to buy the tags over there, or can you buy them from Uk?

With regard to the tolls through France, would it be a case of getting a tag or paying at the booths and do you have to buy the tags over there, or can you buy them from Uk? you can buy an Emovis tag before you leave the UK, then use while you are abroad. You are automatically billed from your bank account. You pay a small rental for the tag, but only on the months you use it https://www.emovis-tag.co.uk/

Rob my rough itinerary at the moment is:
18th evening in Ashford/Dover 19th Ferry/Tunnel 1x night France 20th 1x night Geneva 21st-23rd 3x nights Turin 24th 1x night St Tropez 25th 1x night Paris 26th Ferry/Tunnel Return
Nothing is booked yet as I'm still researching hotels but that's the general idea of dates etc, 3x other guys are with me and others are making there own way, Marc from Holland is coming down with 3x owners so there's a group you could convoy with.
Unfortunately I won't have the luxury of 9 days for this trip, and due to the unavailability of cabins on the 20th, I've booked the ferry to Amsterdam on the 19th and arriving morning of the 20th. Not sure if this coincides with any of the Dutch crew heading off on Thursday. If not, I'll just make my way to Turin and catch up with you guys there.
This is how it should have come out of Torino!
