New purchase and half share with Barnacle, a 16v N/A, 4 owners, 71k with good oil pressure and smooth engine, no cam rattles. Previous owner has just spent £1200.00 having the belts changed, new thermostat, exhaust flex, brake pipes, service and power steering fluid. MOT passed with no advisories and she drives pretty well for a 20 year old Coupé with a light, low biting clutch pedal, nice original condition, the only item I've picked up on that's incorrect is drivers air bag as it's a 20v model with the blue Fiat badge, oh and she's got square tyres due to being dry stored for several years. I'd update the boot tag thread if I could find it Underside inspection has still to be done but from what I could see on the back of the transporter she's pretty solid underneath, rear springs are still black with yellow marker paint so a good sign for sure. Further pics here.

I'd update the boot tag thread if I could find it Here it is Joe. @Dazvr6 The 16VT driver's airbag should have the same embossed logo as shown in Joe's other 16V.
16VT and X1/9 1500

It's the Fiat badge that's incorrect, here's my other 16v n/a with the correct one fitted. Don't know about incorrect, that's how the European 1.8 16v looks.

The 1.8 16v didn't come to the UK Carl, we're talking of the original Lampredi engine 2 litre cars.

I just worked out that between us, Joe and I own 5% of all the road-legal 16NAs! Quality! I wonder what percentage of 20V VIS's the one I own is equal to. They've got to be getting very rare now based on the limited production period and fairly low numbers of 20Vs out there. It makes up 25% of the VIS's on this forum's model register.

I stand corrected. Was pretty sure the steering wheel wasn't part of the engine but rather a Fiat produced inventory item.

The 1.8 production started around the same time as the 20V. I think the steering wheel with the blue badge was added to the Fiat inventory at that time.
If that assumption is correct then you would expect all 16 valve coupes to be fitted with the earlier steering wheel when they left the factory.

Congrats. Very nice car. I looked at the ad for it - was it on ebay? I like the digital clock and the style of the early dash/ console. I also like the colour of the seats. Engine looks nice too - the rocker cover looks very 'digital' and 90's tech. Is it going to be a show baby, or a courtesy car? If the latter, I'll book my Alfa in for a screen wash top up so I can have a drive / pose

I've always been lead to believe that the 16v models didn't have the blue badge on the drivers airbag, and very early models were made without the passenger unit and instead has a full height glovebox. Congrats. Very nice car. I looked at the ad for it - was it on ebay? I like the digital clock and the style of the early dash/ console. I also like the colour of the seats. Thanks Joe. I'll take you up on that one day. My Alfa is sulking at the moment with a driveshaft seal leak. I hope it's not a indicative of diff problems. The seal arrived yesterday but I'm working this Bank holiday. Boo.

I've always been lead to believe that the 16v models didn't have the blue badge on the drivers airbag, and very early models were made without the passenger unit and instead has a full height glovebox. Had a look in my copy of the Coupe sales brochure and it shows the embossed logo as Joe says and also a round button with the blue rhomboid logo in the middle, but not just with the blue rhomboid logo. It also shows the passenger side airbag. My Fiat Auto (UK) Ltd brochure has 20M.FEB.96.A065 on its back cover.

Nice looking car, seems clean and solid outside and under the bonnet. Did the 16vt have it as mine has the blue badge fitted? Did the 16vt have it as mine has the blue badge fitted? Mine also has the blue rhomboid logo. Same here, early 96 model.
