You are fantastic people, thank you.
I checked the webcams for the Grossglockner and I doubt it will be open before mid May, so I'll skip that this year (I was there a few years ago, it was fantastic)
Noted the comment about the Stelvio, when I was there the last time it was full, so I guess I'll skip that too this year. (note: if any of you go to Switzerland during the summer, I strongly recommend this route, the roads and the view are excellent:

We were at Carcassonne - I think - two years ago, when we did the Pyrennes part of the Tour de France in a rented Giulietta (from Bilbao to the Costa Brava) and had a great local bean soup at a restaurant, but the most amazing thing was 3 Russians singing some religious songs in the cathedral there, we just sat there frozen and shocked how beautiful it was.
I added Centro Storico, Avignon and the Abarth "museum" to the list, thank you.
I'm still not sure about the gopro thing, 500 pounds is a bit steep, I might just bring a normal camera for the pictures and use my wife's Lumia 1020 to take a video of the lap.
How unfortunate, Spa has an open day when we have to be on the ferry back home. Maybe in 2017 with the rest of you guys in the summer (we plan to go to Iceland next year, and it's so expensive no other holiday for us that year)?
thanks again, keep the suggestions coming
