Hello all

I have parked my car up for the winter and after three months have realised I have a flat battery.
I will be picking myself up one of the CTEK chargers once I have worked out what they do and how you hook them up.

In the meantime though, should I be worrying about the lack of power to the Apexi AVCR and Unichip?
I am rather concerned I may lose all of the settings after a period of time.

Cheers
Phil

Uni chip and EBV should be fine without power, I didn't have a battery hooked up on mine while it was rebuilt which took over a year to finish and when we turned it all on everything was still set how it was before.

That was a blitz EBV though so maybe different with the apexi

The Cetek charger can attach using croc clips on the battery terminals (like any other charger) or you can wire up a plug a short distance away from the battery (I wish the lead was longer!) or you can connect via the ciggy lighter socker which is only any use if you have an early Coupe (up to 1998? perhaps) which has a permanently live feed, but you may have to pay extra for the alternative connection options.

Go onto the apexi boost setting and make sure that the duty doesn't have a series of stars next to it.
If it does let me know and I will forward you the duty settings and how to update it.
Your car shouldn't peak above 1.3 on setting A.

I shall give it a check once I have proven the battery is OK out of the car.

Cheers John.
