Thought that I will mention my thoughts regarding those tyres. I pushed them to their limits at Snetterton yesterday and I was very impressed with them. The track was dry so I cannot comment on their wet handling thou. Anyway, they offer really, really good grip and they are very progressive too and inspire confidence. Only downsize is that they scream as a cloud9 pig! Just crazy loud when pushed to their limits. I did about 32 laps and didn't notice any wear. I would definitely buy them again. To me they are very comparable to the Falken FK-452 tyres but at £54 per corner in size 205/40/17 they are much cheaper. Also, Y speed rating is a bonus tongue

Give them a try next tyre change. They coped very well with my 350bhp Coupe.

I had these on my RX-8 and was quite impressed with them considering the price. Good value for money. Some people took the piss tongue and I wouldn't normally buy such cheap tyres but they do get good feedback on tyrereviews.co.uk as well http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Kumho/Ecsta-KU39.htm

If you have a 350bhp Coupe that you use on track how come you're not using Yoko AD08s or similar? (Dunno whats available in your size). Thats what will be on my Coupe with similar power when the Toyos wear out.

I am not that competitive nor do I have the budget to splash £150 per corner for the Yoko's wink

How do they compare to the Toyo T1Rs, if you've tried them?

Also I take it you got the CHOD replaced! Did you go for the pro alloy one?

I never had the T1Rs so can't compare them, sorry. From what I heard T1Rs offer a bit more grip on dry but then KU39s offer more on wet.

Yes, CHOD has been replaced. I ended up buying a set of Viper Performance hoses and replaced all of them laugh
