Just watched it go for £310! Saw a nice camera go for about £17 earlier (easily worth £100). Obviously a good time to buy if you can afford it.

I was tempted, but I simply don't have room for another car at home.

Flip me I paid that for a set of those Claws new for the wifes old Stilo years ago.......

What on earth posseses people to try & sell stuff (particuarly vehicles on eBay ) a week before Christmas beggars belief - especially in the current UK financial situation.

I wouldnt even dream of listing a vehicle on eBay circa November - February.

Yep mainly finances i knew a week before christmas wasnt the best idea,
Ideally i would love to keep her and get her all spick and span for summer, but alas my explorer needs money spending on it, my alfa died and went, and its just not a good time right now

Well she has gone to burnham on sea now and hopefully she will get treated with the care and attention she needs, and many thanks Sam for having a poke around and letting me know what she needed. just wish i could have kept her.

I bought my coupe locally from a nice guy on the 27th December nearly 5 year ago.

he is a young lad that im guessing has being driving quite spiritedly around for the last four days without any problems.
really begining to wish i hadnt sold it now

If he has been driving it around with the outstanding issues he needed his head checking. I think we will see it up for braking on eBay very shortly due to rather expensive list of repairs. Sorry to here this will.

Oh dear Will - has he sent you any details? Agree whole-heartedly with SamS. If he has just been a genital Caveat Emptor and check your nuts (of the wheel variety).

it will be a shame if it is broken for parts.

Nope no details, i have been using it for around a hundred miles each week with no wheel related problems ,
surely though if it was loose nuts wouldnt you hear them baning when braking?, i remember them knocking on my mates mini when he had loose wheel nuts.

You would get vibration though steering which there was when I took it out, you would then feel it though feet, then it would shake car...then it falls off. I put it down to balancing however as it was slight.
Once they start to come loose its not generally long till they come off.
Its not your problem, don't stress you updated the eBay add and were very honest and the buyer had ample opertunity to check the basics before putting 100s of miles on it. It went for less than the price of a good service.. And any one buying something like this at that price should be aware there is no such think as a free lunch.
