a cat keeps coming into a mates garden and doing its business. There is a spray you can buy, a cat repellant spray,spray it all around the garden and the cat isnt supposed to like it so it wont go near it. or failing that,buy a dog soft toy and stick it in the garden..like a scarecrow

aparantly a proven remedy is to fill 2l pop bottles with water and place them around the garden.Cats don't like the light that reflects off the water and will stay away.

You're right, she didn't understand the details but just the bigger picture that I was doing it wrong. That and the more important fact that the presence of the laptop was denying her of her snoozing spot (just above a nice warm desktop PC) hence the laser stare of death.
