Will need a few tips as have never done a track day of any sort before I drive so slow that I have never had any points on my licence

simple, put your foot down, brake, indicate like mario, and enjoy your self!!

Just take your time, its a short track, you do two laps on your own with no other cars on there and then you come back in. Each time you go out you can put your foot down a bit more.
