Anyone removed the FIAT badge from the rear? Mine is looking sad, but I'm wary of making things look worse. My Sprinty had already had it removed. Any advice gratefully received, as I'd like it done before Phil works his magic.

I've checked the How Tos but it doesn't appear to be there.

If Phil wasn't removing it, I'd heat it up first using a hair dryer, gently prise it off using your fingers or a breadknife, being careful not to mark the paint. Then finally use some sticky stuff remover to clear the remnants (or white spirit alternatively).

Thread. Cut the adhesive by running a length of thread down the back of the badge. Then rub the adhesive off afterwards.

Patch after removing mine theres a slight 'tide' mark from the the lacquer that lifted on removal? Think this was from the years its been there as I used a hairdryer etc. to avoid any paint damage. Is this something your paint correction could remove? I've haven't the bottle to try wet and drying it myself for fear of making it worse...

Glad you're back on topic evil laugh although funny to read laugh

Pinin, take the badge off yourself, it's not hard and I'm sure you'll manage no problem.

If you do make a balls of it though, at least patch will sort it out for you smile
