I haven't totted up how much i spent but i think it was more than a grand. However i did a lot of track time and for some reason the way i drive meant i was using £75 an hour in fuel! I also drink a lot of beer. I'm sure the trip can be done for a lot less than this though.

I will be staying in London on the thursday. Good opportunity for every one to meet up and get to know each other. We can then all convoy down to the ferry together.

Sounds good! I did see the posts on the first page for costs, apologies for being far too lazy to actually read it before asking. I suppose I'm looking at around a grand, if it's been been earmarked for the weekend, then I won't end up short while away. Sounds like a weekend to enjoy to the full!

Any ideas of whereabouts in London? Like Steve, I want to start getting organised on this one, has anyone got any suggestions for the hotel on Thursday night?

I've not even counted it up and i won't be as the feryy was nearly £800 for the van and trailer alone, nuff said.

I'm more than sure it is very easily avaliable on a tight budget if you plan properly.

I used nearly 200 litres of fuel over the weekend on track only!!

I stayed at my old mans house and Mike stayed at his sister's.
My Dad lives in Highgate - North London and Mikes sister is only 5 miles from there, so anywhere around Highgate would be a good bet

It would be great to see the French again!

Well... I've just subscribed to the SpaItalia - Milano trip that the Belgian club organises. But... we chose NOT to go for the 'Gold' package that includes the SpaItalia event with a gala diner on saturday. Instead, we'll be joining the Club and enjoy some drunk Brits again on the friday and saturday. Included in our order is a package for the Milano stay, which will take us on a 4-night stay in Milan to enjoy the centenary festivities for Alfa.

Oooooh so looking forward to this!

The drive up from Calais to Dunkirk is a PITA, boring and loads of trucks.

W always go via Calais. Only ever had an issue when going back to UK on a Sunday evening, nowadays we always travel mid week wink

We again plan to stay in the south Holland area from the Tuesday before Spa to the Tuesday after.

I'll be staying in Highgate and Mike is only 5 miles from there. There is a pub just at the bottom of my dad's road that does accomodation. It's cheap enough and a decent boozer. And if you have ever seen "saun of the dead" it is the same pub that features in that. Its called the winchester and its on the archway road, A1, highgate, north london. They have a website which comes up on google search. Worth a look!
