OK, time to plan the next South meet, as we know that we all need a bit of time to get it on the calendars at home . I'm going to suggest October, so that simonj has time to find himself a Coupe, and to avoid the next SE meet, which is planned for September ;\) .

So, I have two options, Sunday 7th or Sunday 14th October. Any later and we clash with half-term, which is important for those of us with school-age kids! Please use the polling buttons to express your preference(s) \:\) .

If you have any preferences for locations, please post them up, and we can decide that nearer the time.

Phil

Either Or.

I voted for the later just to give more time between the SE meet and it.

I have no real preference but will be just fab to meet other owners of this Sports Car. It is my first Sports Car and as you can imagine am really excited about it and have many plans to mod it.

To meet other enthusiastic owners of the Coupe for a drink, chat and a drive will be very cool indeed. Are we going to have lunch somwhere or should I bring a packed lunch?

Is petrol and expenses paid for?

Coupe by October? No pressure then \:P I'm away for much of August and Sept, so not as much time to look for one and I still need to save a few more pennies as I'll be keeping the Skoda.

Is this likely to be meeting in Winchester again and then drive to nice pub for lunch? If I am Coupeless, perhaps I could meet you all at Tescos and get a lift in a Coupe on the drive rather than tag along at the back.

I like this idea! Let's have a coupé day out on the club. Personally I think Bobbs and Scooby should make the pack lunches and bring them down. ;\)

I'll post a preference at a later date as I'm not holding my breath that my shift changes will have happened by then. I also have a service, new turbo, FMIC, boost controller, boost gauge and a clutch to fit in around those dates . Hey, will the club cover that too? \:P

Look forward to seeing a new coupé owner joining the south coast massive matt. \:\)

I am really looking forward to the meet now. I really wanna do my Coupe up now for the meet. It still needs lot's of tidying up before the meet and by October it will be fab. I am not going to change it too much as I like the original style, just add a touch of me to it \:\)

Well we've met up at Winchester a few times, also Horndean (near Portsmouth) and down in the New Forest as well. Which would suit people better? I'm happy to arrange a drive if it is around Winchester, but don't know the roads or pubs in the Forest well enough ;\) .

No, but it's never likely to be any further west than Dorchester, so gurly_racer is going to have a long drive whatever happens \:\( .

If it's going to be around the Forest, who's going to organise it then? Any volunteers, otherwise it will be the usual from Winchester \:P !

New Forest isn't good for a meet IMO (at least not a drive), 40mph most roads, busy, busy, busy and damned horses everywhere.

Still think the roads north or east of Winchester are the best bet in terms of driving and getting the largest number of people along. \:\)

Well I still have a hankering to come and sample the good weather that Phil is offering ;\) so Winchester way would be good for me, but I am happy with the forest too, as I can pop in and see my family in Ringwood.

I can make either date Phil, but voted for 14th, as I agree with Truffle, it leaves more time between us & the SE meet.

looking forward to it. \:\)

OK, time to resurrect this thread \:D ! At the moment, the 7th isn't looking as good for me, as I may be in North Wales recovering from a track day ay Anglesey on the 6th, but this isn't definite just yet ;\) .

Just wanted to check that there is still interest in meeting up in October, and that the 14th would be OK for most people. Please post whether you would be a definite for the 14th, and I'll get a list going \:\) .
