Mrs Edinburgh's recent acquisition of a Seat Mii by Mango has been a happy one in every respect apart from the radio which frankly is cr4p
FM breaks up and AM is non-existent
So after months of investigation I've come up with an alternative to the prohibitive cost of completely replacing the unit for a Seat/VW DAB one which needs to be linked with the satnav system....
It's tiny but easy to change station, just one button click to R or L
Tune it to an unused FM waveband and tune the car head unit to same and save it
toggle to
Aerial mount nice and discreet with all the gubbins stuck underneath the A pillar trim
Works a treat and cost way under £50
It will display selected stations through the RDS setting, unless your head unit, like the Mii's is so cheap it doesn't have RDS!
Conceal aerial wiring and play through the head unit via the Aux socket.
