I will see if I can get along to this, though the coupe is looking a little 'tired' after a recent scrape.
Visited Cosford for the umpteenth time over Christmas with my lad- always an enjoyable visit.

I'd be up for going to that. I'm new to this Forum and relatively new to Fiats but I think it'd be good to get to know some of you guys so you can assess what heap of scrap my 20V Turbo really is!
Count me in but let me know the drill - whats expected, what to bring and how much pocket money etc!

Re: Midlands Breakfast Club at R.A.F. Cosford - 11/01/2009 21:58
Hey All,
All being well I should be there, it's just off the M1 is it? Just did a multimap and found Cosford where the M6 meets the M1, I take it that's where it is. Got a RR day the following weekend (possibly, if I can get my clutch done), but I should be good for this too. Should be good to meet so many other owners.

If everyone turns out this should be a good show from the FCCUK! As its valentines the day before the Mrs wouldnt be impressed if i didnt stay the night with her but im going to have to leave at about 6am to get there for 9.
On the plus side i get to drive one of my favourite roads that i used to do on my way to Cosford and Leeming, the a449 between newport and the m5.
If anyone isnt sure Cosford is sign posted right off the motorway, its easy to find. As for the museum you basically have to drive throught the middle of the camp under the railway bride but thats pretty simple too!

Apart from turn up
, have a bacon buttie or three
, a coffee
,stare at some nice motors
is there anything else to do?
Also what time does it all wind up as I have some relatives nearby who I was thinking of dropping in on before heading home.

Most of the aircraft are indoors mate, but it was over 5years ago that i did my training there. i think there might be a Victor bomber and a 737 outside but im not 100% sure.
Its a training base so the runway only really gets used by the university air squadron and visiting aircraft but you never know what might be around
The museum is definately worth a visit though!

So we can get everyone parked together we need to be at Cosford for 9AM, we can meet at the Bell in at Tong TF11 8PS at 8.30-8.45 then drive up together. It finishes at midday but everyone is more than welcome to stop longer if they want.

Crikey that's the first time I've ever heard the words "Bell", "In", and "Tongue" in the same sentence and not seen someone get arrested.

I can get over to Stone easily enough, even though its in slightly the wrong direction
Which way are you travelling? Might as well take a decent route. M54 is fine if we want to cruise at 150, but its probably not advisable

I'm afraid that its looking doubtful that I will be able to make this- too many things conspiring against me, so feel free to move me down the list. Shame, it looks like a great meet and only down the road.
Hope you all have a great day.
The Bell used to be really good for Sunday lunch if any of you need somewhere to eat afterwards, though I havn't been there recently.
Cheers

Re: Midlands Breakfast Club at R.A.F. Cosford - 14/02/2009 18:44
Well - I started with all the best intentions of making sure my car was up to the usual Coupe-meet standard - I had plans to wash, clay, wax & polish.
However, my rear light rings were well manky, so I thought I'd pull the lights out, and re-polish the alloy
6 bleedin hours
Still - they're shiny again now, until it rains again.
So - the car has just been through the car wash - that's all its getting - I HATE going through the car wash as well - doesn't do the paintwork any good at all

I had a great time as well (although I think we got done with the parking slightly!)
now ya know why we have to limit it to 10 cars per club normally!!
Glad you all enjoyed it.
From my point of view, I put on a free meet once a month and it's seeing good feedback on other forums knowing that people have enjoyed it, which makes it worth doing!
Not sure we'd be able to fit you in, in the same number for this year (although October and Novembers meet could be possible if you book early!)
I've uploaded loads of pics onto the main website.
Feel free to take a look! A few coupes have made it into the hall of fame!!

Guys, great day, enjoyed it, the convoy to the event was something to remember! Maybe didn't chat to as many as I would have liked but bit of a strange day for me in some ways. I thought we had the best, and most organised (cheers for that Paul) stand there, look at all those TVRs but they were dotted everywhere, we were there in force, no missing the Coop! I'll get my photos sorted tomorrow, as my two workmates were clicking away as well as me, one of them reckons tobe a bit of a David Bailey (?) so should be some good ones there. Plenty of inspiration seeing you all, and can't believe I missed Bosco, lol.
See you all at the next one, when I've had some bodywork done to match the standards of everyone else!

Another top meet, cheers paul! Great coops and nice bunch of people as always, the convoy was fantastic. Some nice pics here, glad to see mine made it onto the breakfast club website. Looking forward to the next one, tar. PS: the coupes seemed to get quite a lot of attention and i saw quite a few lads getting their pics taken by the front of the coupes so these cars still have it

Everything together and uploaded, 162 pics and a short vid on there, quite a few good ones of the Coupes on there but a bit of everything, some museum, for example. Enjoy.
