2007 winter Bluewater meet 25 Nov - 20/10/2007 21:53

In the interests of tradition, is anyone up for dusting off their arctic explorer gear and standing in a freezing cold carpark at Bluewater one Sunday in November?

Would suggest the 18th or 25th \:\)

Re: 2007 winter Bluewater meet - 20/10/2007 23:03

I am in. I got coop for over a year and I have never been to any coops meeting. It is a right about time to go for one before I will have to sell my beloved lady.

May I suggest the 25th.

Close enough for Christmas shopping but far enough for massive crowds.

Hello,

If I make this event, will someone with a standard coop in good condition take me for a spin so I can compare the ride quality to mine?

I still think its dodgy - and JimO agrees with me!

Any plans about what we are going to do at Bluewater? Anybody thinking about booking restaurant/pub or anything like this? Sorry, if I am asking silly Q's but I never been to Bluewater and have no idea what to do there. ;\) Anybody can take me for a spin in a healthy not modded 20VT to see difference between 20VT and 20V N/A? \:D

Re: 2007 winter Bluewater meet - 15/11/2007 12:44

Normally, we hang around freezing *ahem* chatting in the car-park for a couple of hours tyre kicking and then inside to defrost with coffee...bring warm clothes, gloves, a brazier etc \:\) We haven't booked anywhere to eat in the past as most have gone their separate ways by lunchtime.

In order to be able to park together, may I suggest getting there for 10ish - near the back of John Lewis (I really must check which carpark it actually is one year - can anyone remember if it was red or green?)

The shops open at 11, but the centre is open. If anyone wants to convoy from anywhere, please start a thread \:\)

OK, meeting in the Green H carpark which is on the lower level behind John Lewis. If anyone is not sure where they are going, I shall drive through the Clackett Lane services carpark on the eastbound M25 at 9.30ish for a mini convoy \:\)

Weather wise, looking good (sunny, 10deg) but it will feel chilly so wrap up \:o

I took a day off for Sun but now my coop needs replacig ARB parts. At the moment she is going from side to side on a straight road not to mention about curves... Anyway, parts have been ordered just waiting for them to be delivered. If they will come by Fri I will change them on Sat and will attend the meet. \:\)

Motormech is in Brum...

Unfortunately, PowerFiat in Essex don't do 16vt anymore but you could try Firela in Clapham or Auto-Integrale near Reading (Grale specialists so know way around the 16vt) \:\)
