1/4 mile meet - Scottish Contingent Or Northerners

Would any of us scottish lads be interested in going for a day at crail (or anywhere else if there is anywhere) and getting some 1/4 mile times done? There was talk of this around TOTB time and just wanting to follow this up.

Yeah, we’ve discussed it again since then. I’d be up for a morning at crail and so would Matty although it’d need to be one of the quieter days Ross. Really cant be doing with the whole Max Power brigade.

I’d suggest either the 14th Oct or the 11th or 25th Nov. That way the air will be a bit cooler too.

Those kinda dates look ok for me. Yes i'd like it to be quieter aswell. Also like time to practise so i dont totally embarrass myself.

Hmmm, I’ve already resigned myself to the fact that I’ll be pants at launching and that something is going to break on my car before the ¼ mile is out. But it’s ok, I have AA membership and I’m not afraid to use it.

I'll need to convince you to bring down those stnd wheels for launching....

I`m sorted, had my gearbox modded i can hit 120 in reverse
so i can leave the start line backwards in a rear engine rear drive car!!! thats gotta be worth x2 tenths

If weather is ok, I shall be at Crail on Sun (19th) for USSC.

Of course I'd be up for any 'Crail Shootout' as I'm the only coupe that has run proven 13s 2 up there this year

Total vauxhall visit crail end of sep if any one wants to take the piss out of some vauxhalls? on the 1/4mile?

Errr.... i doubt you will, there are some very rapid vaux's out there, you only need to look at the TOTB VI results this year for the FWD to see who dominated the top 5

Off the top of my head I can think of at least ten vauxhalls that run at crail and would easily beat a standard coupe...

Also at least 3 that I would definitely struggle to beat as they regularly run 12s.

Of course not every Vaux is super tuned so there are plenty beatable. Its just the sheds you have to watch

My Times

Well thats the USSC times up. Bit of pisser they didn't count my last 3 runs as all would have put me in the FW final

Over all though looks on times alone that I was the 3rd quickest FW behind the road legal Mk2 Astra (12.7) and the race spec Corsa B (13.1).

His 60ft time was lower than mine, but my TV was much higher. Lower my 60ft and hes dust.
