Midlands Meet 14th April

As the last meet was cancelled.

I've put a poll see what people would prefer to do.

Maybe this could be coincided with the Cholmondely Spring Car Club Day?

Meet at Cholmondely in the morning, spend some time there, then continue on to Donington or Cat and Fiddle (whatever is most popular)?

Sounds like a plan. To there in morning and a nice to a pub in the sticks after.

As always these seem to coincide with me having the kids

Don't suggest bringing them, they'd be bored by the time i left the house.............

I'm new to coupe world and i live in stoke so very close for me to come along and admire more coupe's.

Have you changed your weekends with the kids? I know your weekends without them used to fall on the same weekends I'm off from my evening job.

You should have instilled some discipline about Coupes and meets from an early age, then you wouldn't have this problem

So what are the plans then?

As my car hasn't been mapped yet I can't do a spirited run. So I think a meet up at Donington Park museum about 10-10.30 have a look around the museum take a few pics on the car park or down at the airplane graveyard. Then have a bit of a drive to the pub in the afternoon.
I'll sort a run out for those that want a bit more of a drive.

Ok Paul when you thinking of doing the cat and fiddle drive then?...

As soon as my car is mapped up. But there is a lot of meets coming up so I'll need to organise it so it doesn't clash with anything else.

Sofia's not impressed , unless there's at least 1 tunnel on the drive

I keep saying - we ought to drive through Brum one of the days, the tunnels are EPIC!!

There is 1 tunnel on your way Rob. I could always meet with you in Stoke have a mini blast through lol.

Got the coupe mot yesterday so count me in for the meet
tomorrow

Since i refurb my coupe two years ago i've never took it out
in the rain before (did'nt want to get the engine bay dirty )
that's the only best bit about my coupe.

But sod it i'm coming for a play, if it's raining it my lube some of my squeaking suspension only done 1500 miles last year!!!

What's the post code of the meet point? Is it 10 am?

Another good blast down south and back up again, well worth the effort.
Great to meet the guys again and put names to faces of new friends made.

That Donnington motor museum is like a tardis, looks small from the outside but huge inside
An amazing collection of motorsport history and militaria, love the mahoosive blower on the Turbocharged F1, running a measly 80psi

Another good meet at the old favourite, nice to see some new guys there as well as the usuals - even a villa fan, i suppose thats our care in the community sorted out

Good company, good venue, good drive (i hate standard cars) and good pub....lets do it again soon guys...

Thanks to everyone that turned up. Great to see everyone again.

I thought the museum was going be a bit boring but was surprised to see how many different cars were in there. And to see the differences between the cars in only a couple of years of each other was amazing.

Shame the weather wasn't the best.
