rolling road today - 26/03/2007 22:58

had my coupe on the rolling road today at sca in norwich, managed 215bhp and 235LB ft of torque at 5350 which is around 185bhp at the wheels was hoping for a little more but 25bhp up on standard with piperx filter stainless cat back exhaust and evocars chip isnt that bad

cool. bodes well for me when i can afford to get mine mapped at Perfect Touch.

when i had similar setup to yours (minus the exhaust) i got 213bhp/237lbs, so pretty similar. then i got my catback which didn't seem to change performance too much, but once i got my decat i got 230bhp/267lbs.

need to get it on the rollers again after my more recent mods!

are you thinking of getting a decat?

also did they check the fuelling, and do you have a 3 bar FPR??

When i can get the money together to go to Perfect Touch i wonder what i'll be getting

Pro Alloy FMIC + SI
3Bar FPR
3" Turbo back exhaust with Decat
EVO chip
Greddy Profec B (boost set at 1.35)

They'll be properly mapping it too so hopefully some extra ponys once the overfueling is sorted. The clutch is slipping occasionally at the moment so i think i'll get em to make a low and high boost settings so i can save fuel and the clutch.

i'd have a guess at 265ish bhp, the standard turbo really struggles at top end. what bar are you running at redline?

when your turbo does go you have a very nice setup to backup a bigger turbo. but then wouldn't the money spent at perfect touch be wasted a bit???

when i get all my mods sorted i will pop down to perfect touch, then my engine modding will end.

well at the moment my big concern is with overfueling. Its definatly rich.

Do you think someone would be able to adjust the EVO chip map based on a power graph if i just had a power and fueling check done rather than a full remap. (i know that there a couple of people with chip readers and software to change the maps).

Also a new turbo will mean a new clutch, so hopefully it'll hold out for a long while yet.

didnt check the fuelling but there is a dip in the torque line which could equate to fuelling, eventually i will get the 3bar fpr and a decat and a frount mount cooler, butfot the moment i need to get my motorbike sorted track season s upon us!

Dip is more likely to be overfuelling. Running leaner would be an increase in torque.

Depends. It could be overfuelling in the midrange, but not at the redline. Probably an idea to take one with you if you are getting mapping done.
