Very nice driving. Was that a fly? And how wide was that Ford? I was shouting "get over".

Re: WeekEnd Nordschleife, resume ... - 25/08/2013 07:56

really not so wide.. only me behave in safe position, because i've had some ugly experience on driver @ ring that doesn't see you when you overtake him.. so i drive very carefully now laugh

the problem was the wastegate that doesn' allow me to push the pressure more than 1 steady bar... so no low end torque, and difficult to overtake...

and yes.. i've had a mosquito fly inside crazy

Excellent, and great vids - it's funny to see that expensive machinery flying round and then you see ford transits and coaches, weird stuff laugh

In the first one that grey Porsche looked pretty quick

Don`t forget the Renault 4, my first ever car was a Renault 6 - 3 wheels fell off.

I thought your turbo spools quite nicely, running mine at 1 BAR while it`s hot weather, but pretty sure my inlet cam is one notch retarded. Power delivery is late and quite violent.
I would be interested in seeing some close ups of your engine and brake conversions sometime. You have TAROX conversion at the rear?
Brave driving, the surface looks poor in places and as you say being sensible in the traffic. I went for a blast today up A394-inspired by your video. Thank-you, keep them coming.

Good stuff! You were the Porsche killer until that GT3 swept by laugh
I'm going there on 14th Sep, can't wait driving

Re: WeekEnd Nordschleife, resume ... - 26/08/2013 19:49

great car renault !

in this video, my coupè delivery no more than 280/290hp i think, the last time i've rolled out my coupè, was with old setup, so everything same instead rods / piston forged, and 1bar steady was 280hp. my car has not ever finish to map, so at this moment, with 1 bar it could delivery at least 15hp more.

i've c&b cams also, and teh gt28rs is on 086 side.
i've also the quaife setup on.

these are the photos of my under bonnet (very clean like i don't want to show too much for police reason... )

and these, are my big brembo brake front calliper, is the same of F40, with pagid Rs29 and 350x32 discs. you can find here, i've paid 2.000€ for this kit.

Scara73
but now my coupè brake from 0-260 without problem, in every condition, like track, highway or mountain trip..
So i reccomend it as ultimate brembo kit. Also as you can see, it mount onto 17".

And yes, i've the 300mm tarox rear brake kit also.

@phil yes porker killer... haahha no way, on the ring, also the slowest are the queen ...

really only Porker & M3 has overtake, but they are not so easy to fight against, almost with only 280hp.

My next goal, in coupè nur spec ..... is to put on 235/40 17" 595rsr, a camber top mount & at least 350hp usable from start to 21th km ring...

Thank-you for posting these images and link. My turbo pipework goes under rad also, but working on aluminium bracket to carry rad for safer clearance from the road! I notice that the rear callipers on my car are similar to Alfa 145, also Audi A3, been wondering if some parts could be swapped. The Tarox rear conversion is expensive, not overpriced but I have little money as yet to pay for my car.
Best wishes. Jon.

Re: WeekEnd Nordschleife, resume ... - 26/08/2013 21:04

yes i know, i think also that is overpriced, i'was lucky as one of my friend worked for giorgio taroni (the old founder of tarox, last year death) so i'taken it for reasonable price.
i will post other 1/2 video more, one against a 130 i M bmw.

Nice driving! smile
Lot of traffic but nice weather. What's the screetching noise? Rear tires rubbing?

I think you should definatley try more neg. camber front, and battery at the back.. Transforms the car.

But I'd like your brakes!! smile
Are they Alfa GT 3.2 calipers?
Please tell me more about them, where to get them, exact prices etc. Only that site?

Cheers!

2010 I did BTG 8.36, would be nice to try again, now with a little more power and better tires.

Once I had a fight (well not really) with another M130i, lookie here: (scroll to 8:30..)

Re: WeekEnd Nordschleife, resume ... - 02/09/2013 20:41

Hi per ! i love your rims ; )

the brakes are F40 calliper + 350x32 disc with specific bell.
they are much bigger than GT 3.2 caliper, they are too big that is difficult to fit into 17" ...
the pagid Rs29 does the rest.

the cars brake hard, and safe, i've upgraded also the main braking pump times ago, but not remember the exactly model.

i confirm that you can purchase the kit here

Scara73

and it cost + - 2.000€ with calliper, discs and brembo street pads.

for the battery i think no because i don't want to change too much the standard things, but i know how much the difference make less weight in front axle, i've tried a coupè with tiny battery and fiberglass bonett... awesome.

and yes, i need more negative camber, i've already a very good shock absorber, is orap with top mount and uniball.
in most of videos i've published, you can see the car that had a little bit understeer in the 180" bend, that is the tires out of pressure optimal range, as with only 5 degree difference between two days, i've feel lot difference in tires (595rsr)
