Great selection of 'everyman classics' really enjoyed looking through the list and given the space would love investing and owning quite a few of them

Lots of fun looking through that lot. Just a shame that the bigger pics download so slowly.

I'm not a German car fan but the 840ci is really appealling at the moment, missed the boat on cheaper ones by the look of it. Pics loading ok today.

Still taking about 5 secs for each pic to load...

It'll be interesting to see what the 205 1.9 GTi goes for. I've been watching them for over a year on ebay and the season of £30k+ hype is long over and the estimate seems reasonable, although it wouldn't surprise me if it doesn't make the numbers.

The M5 estimate seems low, I always loved these cars as it was the start of the big power big noise everyday use era. Maybe it's because of the patchy history?

Its a hell of a lot with 3 Integrale's, NSX, original RX7, Escort Cossie, RS1600i, Z3M, XR2 the list goes on!

I'm not a Honda fan but the NSX has always been appealing, missed the boat on cheaper ones by the look of it.

Yep I remember when they were £25k, and Mondials were £15-£20k. Those days are long gone!

From that list, which car do we think is the best bet for making money over the years?

I think the NSX isn’t pretty enough to make really big money - as well as being a Honda - as much as I’d love one.

With zero experience but based on gut feel:

Those mid morning 2000s Bentleys can’t stay at £30k for much longer surely! Footballer image did a lot for their value.
Saxo VTR likely to double in value from £1k to £2k (a mate has bought one an unmodified it)
996 911’s presumably continue to rise over time since they are the entry level price for a 911.
Maserati 4200 / 3200
Merc R129 have a place in my heart
