Another.. Whats it worth?

Looking at selling my Red 20v Turbo as I really don't get much use of it anymore.
It is in pretty good condition, body work is excellent, minus the few stone chips on the bonnet and bumper. No dents or dinks on the panels at all. I have full service history with more paperwork than I can carry. It is due another service now, clutch is slipping slightly in 1st and 2nd, so also needing that done. The plug for the blowers was faulty but I plan to get that sorted before I put it up for sale. Apart from that the car is perfect, engine temp, oil pressure all up to standard and it runs fine. Its on around 110K milage, 1997 P reg model.

So how much would it be worth? Is it worth me getting the clutch/service done before selling? or just knocking off the appropriate costs from the sale price?

from what ive seen lately, and from my own experiences, these last few weeks....

£800 would be fair, with clutch done, depends on if it has any mot, and tax, condition of the wheels etc etc.

also what it drives like, id' say that with these things being ok, + mot and tax £800 - 1k or more

do you have the reciept for the belt change when was it?

what are the brakes like?

whats the condition of the engine like, eg running and visual?

interior needs to be clean to get good money.

Shaun, I think to be fair mate, you have a bit of a squewd opinion on what these cars are worth.

raulus, if its in good condition and the bodywork is good, aim for 1400+ mate and even thats on very the cheep side

i have adjusted to 1300 with those things in good order

i would get the clutch done and a basic service, there are a lot of coupes for sale at the moment and at least this will put you on a even playing field then
(1400 with out the clutch or the service, ask more if there done)

lol...i know sam....im a little grumpy ...but without knowing the things ive mentioned above, then my approach on this car (could) be of the similar caliber to what i purchased, without seeing it, and like i say, they are not going to well on ebay and auctions at the mo, and they are fetching between 800 - 1500 on ebay, with the higher, being not to bad examples with recent service and mot and tax and fsh.

if its nice enough then there are also some NICE cars on ebay with that reg going for around 2k-3k

i payed 1150 for mine, but was hasty when i went to look at it, and should have checked all things, as i should have not payed more then 700-800 being realistic..

Get the clutch and blowers sorted and if it is in good nick and running order, I don't see why £1,750-£2k isn't achievable if you aren't in a complete rush to sell (stick it on here, PH and AT). Good quality leather, aircon, maybe add another £250?

Its full Leather interior in mint condition, Cambelt was done last year and I have all the paperwork for everything this car has had done, pretty much since new. Wheels could do with a referb. Brakes are fine and not very 'squeely'. MOT until November 09.

Can't believe how much the prices have dropped!!

Leather is worth a couple of hundred quid, I paid £1300 for a 98R with 130k on the clock.

I'd say advertise around the 2k mark...
