Maybe Breaking Plus - 05/01/2009 19:27

What would be the value of a PLUS dismantled?
Just want some rough figures...

A red one...
The valeo clutch is 4 months old
The T28 was brandnew and fitted 3 monhts ago (Still warrantied
4 new falkens fitted 16 days ago
Peco exhaust fitted recently
Body work pretty much mint apart from front splitters.
Alloys in great condition
Seats Mint - bar a slight bulge in the bolster of 1.
I also have 4 std turbo alloys (was going to tidy up)
Also tailor made Pinnin mats all round
I also have some spare road springs
The car is and always has been completely standard - apart from the recent exhaust...

Thanks

Because of potential big end failure - Long story - but Ive spent £2k bringing it up to speed this year - then out of nowhere i get the death rattle...

Dont think A: I can be arsed fixing it up B; Do i want to spend potentially £1700 to stitch it up again?

Thing is CJ, it's cost you nearly 7K but you'd be lucky to get half that if you break it for parts at the moment, people haven't got the money to spend 1k on an interior and then there's the amount of time it'll take to dismantle, sell, pack and store the parts that don't shift, I know!

Death rattle is only a minor issue as stupid as that sounds, there's no need to strip the top end so you're not be needing a gasket kit, repair it mate, you know it's the right thing to do and at least you'll have a complete car to sell to recoup some losses if you don't want to keep it.

Crank £250
Shells £90

Remove, rebuild and refit engine £800-1200 depending on who does it.

Reading that a Plus hasn't been broken for parts and you're back driving it again......£ priceless

how much would you want for the complete car? I'd be tempted to stick the engine out of mine in it!
