I called him up and apparently the injector light sometimes comes on and then off.

Is this a fault sensor?

Not necessarily, the manual states that it can come on and go out quickly in normal use. Staying on is an issue.

if it is a faulty sensor then they are easy to replace, one is a lot cheaper than the other though.
changed mine last week and no more injector light

How much should I budget for it in case it turns out serious?

It's most probably the thermostat/coolant sensor so parts will be between £50-60 and it's an easy DIY job

Getting it done in a garage budget between £100-£150 so aim to knock off £200 from the asking price


Hmm, just looking again at the advert: "Cambelt and turbo both done recently: Cambelt 54k" but the car has done 88k miles now so I'd be wondering when exactly the cam belt was done. Realistically you'd be looking at 4yrs and/or 50k miles.

So budget another £400 Coupes are generally not cars to run on a very tight budget
