Radio cable connector - 10/01/2006 04:32

ICE Gurus,

My original Clarion head unit recently died and so I replaced it with a new one (model no. eludes me).

All works fine but, the connector on the radio aerial cable does not fit the new head unit
Is there an adaptor or such like I can buy to sort this?

As you can guess, I'm an ICE novice so any help appreciated.

I've not heard The Archers for ages and need to catch up on all the action in Ambridge

Yes. What make of Stereo did you buy. Adapters are only a couple of quid.

I bought another Clarion thinking it would be a straight swap

Quick peep in the car reveals that the stereo has the sexy title of DB348RMP

According to Car Audio site they quoted the following with regard to your model:-

You may also require an aerial adaptor, some cars use a female socket instead of the traditional male plug. The aerial adaptor plugs into your cars female socket and provides a male plug to fit the new stereo.

This may be it:

Aerial Adapter

Hope this helps.
