Red LE paint code?

The paint code states 168/F, but when requesting this paint code from several paint suppliers, they have all provided paint that is considerably darker than the LE Red. I believe the LE red is a lighter shade of red to other Coupes(?)

Therefore anybody know what paint code is required for a red LE? Or who can supply the correct colour from experience?

N.B. This is not a case of the paint fading as I have seen red LEs next to standard red Coupes and there is an obvious difference in shade of red between them.

Paint codes 168/A and 168/F have two types.. darker (with raspberry tint) and lighter (hot red).

I thought it was the standard Speed Red?

I therefore can only assume that when I ask for 168/F from suppliers they either tell me they only have 168 listed and/or don't have 168/F listed and send me 168(A) which is too dark.

168/F is the lighter shade? That is what is on my paint code label.

Some suppliers suggest they have 168F, but then describe it as Rosso Corsa which is wrong.

Complete minefield and I've yet to find a supplier who can supply the correct colour.


Soooo, anybody actually ordered 168/F from anybody and it actually matched their Red LE? If so, please let me know who.

168/A has two types.. darker and lighter and 168/F has two types darker and lighter, so..

168/A darker = 168/F darker
168/A lighter = 168/F lighter

..so for colour code 168 I have to send tint to my bodyshop

Can somebody update the coupe buyers guide. Black LE's are not metallic!

FWIW - I required :

168F Variant (D) or Autocolor Brand Code JWA7B.

(Might be different for others of course).

Black LE Paint Code is simply Nero 601
