Front bumper respray

Front bumper respray - 19/07/2011 13:21

I've had a quote for my front bumper to be resprayed and its around £300 from the same garage who did the rear of my car. They did a fantastic job so tempted to take it back again.

Though thought i'd ask, does anyone know anywhere cheaper? and with hire car while it's in perhaps? In my opinion £300 isnt bad so still may go for that anyway.

£300?! You are being seriously ripped off.

I wouldn't pay more than £100 max for a front bumper respray. Listen to Mariusz, he can supply a brand new bumper sprayed for less than that!!

Matty - if you fancy a journey East to Shiny territory, I use a paintshop that matched my Broom 20VT VERY well.

Price - circa £120 (plus a pint for me) drink

Company is called Prospray, located in Brome, near Eye.

Shouldnt take very long, depends how busy the bloke is.

Might be best if you were interested, to let me arrange it, price above is on the road to being 'mates rates'

With all due respect to Mariusz he is able to paint them cheap because they require no prep work. His finish is great but im sure he wouldnt repray a second hand bumper for the same price...

Matty im sure you appriciate its not a case of whacking on some paint. The bumper has lots of vents in it, it will have chips, cracks.

£300 is very reasonable... I know my fathers garage would probably charge that if not more... but then its all down to quality. You get what you pay for...

To be honest you have already answered your own question laugh

Re: Front bumper respray - 19/07/2011 23:14

Matty, FCSS use a sprayers and im 99% it would cost you 100 if you take it there or give Johnny a bell at MCS he uses a few sprayers and if you need your car looking over you can kill 2 birds with 1 stone type of thing with either of them!

Anyway 100...300 seriously over inflated.
