LOL - I had a mint MkI Lexus GS300 Sport that I let my wife use. The same thing happened. Worst bit was she completely denied ever doing it. I just bit my tongue, sold the car and bought her a junker to ruin as she pleases laugh

My girlfriend denied a scratch on her 1 month old wheels, even though she was the only one who drove the car confused . To be fair, she did admit to a curbing scratch a few days before and was annoyed with herself.

I hope it doesn't cause too much of an arguement for you. It's going to come down to 'that car, or me' and who's going to win smile ?

My coop has been off the road for a few months (until recently) while I'd been off driving round various bits of the world. Left her on the folks drive and asked them to keep an eye, and just hose off any bird poop. Giving her the first proper clean up last week I notice a ruddy ding right in the feature line on the front wing, and a big chip out of the bonnet. I know full-well that the old man has bashed it with a ladder, but he won't own up. And it's covered in blemishes from all the bird s**te!
I also lent him my old Saab 900 T16s. Somehow, in half an hour, he managed to snap off the telescopic aerial which only extends with the ignition on!
Bleddy dad. Luckily my girl has no aspirations toward driving my car. . .

Of course, I would never sneak out and look over the car after the wife has been it ... oh no, not me!

Really though, best thing I ever did was buy her a jap junker, I could see the weight floating up into the air the split second I bought it laugh

We got rid of her wee Polo years ago partly for MOT issues and partly to economise by carsharing and even though we work mostly at different places we can usually dropoff or pick up most of the week. It's just this nagging feeling when you say "You take the car today my love"

Re: Kerbed!! - 20/05/2010 09:12

Oh my other half's got a little Corsa and shes already managed to ruin all of her new hubcaps and yet she wants alloys now...Er..no dear!

The great thing is though if I do ever ask her to move the Coupe or drive it she will park a good 10 feet from the kerb as she know's I'd go insane lol!

Re: Kerbed!! - 20/05/2010 09:41

I refurbed my own wheels a few years ago and they looked the dogs cool

No one else drives my car and I have been extremely careful not to go near any kerbs or anything else that could scratch the wheels.

They look like poo crazy They look like they've been on a 'destruction derby' car for a couple of seasons shocked

Have you considered that you might be an autosomniac c2d?

Well I've picked up a touchup stick with a brush you need a microscope to see for three nicker, it's a lovely day here so I'm having at it with 400 grade w&d before it gets its eyeshadow refurbed smile

My mother reversed slap bang into the back of my Coupé a few months back. She didn't apologise but rather started defending her actions by saying what was my car doing parked there....on the driveway...in full view, in broad daylight rolleyes
