Yes, like entropy , coupe value is not destroyed! So the average value of a coupe if Barnacles remaining numbers are correct is :

Value = (no of coupes ever made) * (avg price of new coupe) / 1500

Millions indeed!

And don't forget the approximately 30 Coupes here in "Oz" and the ones across "the Ditch" in NZ (all in RHD).

I think you'll find it's more because of the way the LE's and Plus's get registered with the DVLA. The logbook for both models will be listed as a normal 20vt.

Re: HowManyLeft.com Q2 figures out - 23/09/2015 12:47

Yes, as Begbie said, it's down to how the clerk at the garage registering the car filled in the form.

Re: HowManyLeft.com Q2 figures out - 23/09/2015 20:24

Must be more LE's on the road than 31.

If there are only 84 plus's today it could of dropped to 83 if my Broom hadn't passed it's MOT. But happy to say it did with no advisories. yipee driving yipee

so "1500" left on the road in the UK (???)

Re: HowManyLeft.com Q2 figures out - 24/09/2015 06:32

In the UK. From around 7-8000 sold here. So 20% survivors after fifteen-twenty years - I wonder if that's good?

That's not the number that are left, just the number that are taxed and not SORN'ed.
I'm sure there are plenty stashed in garages and not on the road at present.

I wonder how many are owned by paid up members (approx 247) on this forum?

Total including those on SORN is 2732.

Member could own more than one. In which case the number of coupes owned by members would be higher than 247.

Maybe a new thread should be started along these lines;

It would be nice to know how many remaining coupes are owed by members.

List below can be up-dated as each member buy or sell their coupe. This way it should be easier to see how many of each model are left within the club. Unfortunately this would only be open to UK registered cars.

As a start I've added my two.

16 NA - Total

16 VT - Total

20 NA - Total

20 VT - Total 1

20 VIS - Total

20 VT6 - Total

20 VT LE - Total

20 VT PLUS - Total 1

........ from other clubs around Europe, so Poland for example has 300 members with Coupes, Italy etc etc so we have an idea of how many of the 72k that were produced are still alive on the road.

As for your above list, can I just say I own far more then I should, and yes I've seeking counselling for this hoarding addiction.
