Athlone meet April 6th

Anyone on for a meet in Athlone on the April 6th.
At the Hudson bay hotel.

There's a lot of new owners about and a few who've had a test drive in my car first

I am still in the fold. I am away this weekend to Westport and wont be in the coupe as the brakes are sticking at the rear at the moment. Wll be going diesel power.

hope to be up for the next one. Was down at the first one at Hudson and was good showing.

Hi men, unfortunately I don’t think I will be able to make the meet on Sunday as I fecked my back up last weekend and the driving is proving a bit of a back-breaker. So as things stand there is now way possible I could make the 6 hour round trip driving the coupe on those roads. (always get help when moving engines from a van).
Hope the meet goes well and a number of coupes turn up and hopefully there might be another meet some time in the near future.

BTW, if anyone wants to buy some spare bits, let me know and I can be bring them along, I'll be selling off all my spares soon and a few other things I have:

3 x 5L silkolene oil
Mintex front discs
brembo decals
a barnacle widget
front shocks in good cond
std. springs
cat back OE exhaust in good cond ....
prob more stuff I can't remember

Bring the widget David, one of the new guys might take it, I didn't know you had injectors, damn, I have one on the way from Carlt.
Bring the bits, you never know who might buy some

Are the brembo decals black for std coupe brakes?
If they are I'll have them, maybe an injector too !

The meet went well on a really cold, windy day but only 4 cars were there at first, then Shaggy arrived unannounaced, while we had a bite to eat in at the hotel

SJ couldn't make it due to hub trouble.

So it's a goodbye to Davidub's Coupé ownership, hopefully we'll see you on the Octane forum with the new motor.
Don't forget to tell the new owner about fccuk.

Sorry i couldn't make it guys, I got guilt tripped into minding my sisters kids. Really p*ssed off but I kinda owed her a big favour and she played that card! The cars all look great,I spent most of saturday sprucing mine up. Cheers for all the effort Darren and i will definitely be at the next meet.
