Spa Italia & Nurburgring 2013

A customer just asked me why I hadn't bothered to do the Nurburgring while I was at Spa
It's only 1.5 hours away

I had no idea that The Nurburgring was so close to Spa!

Is any one up for doing the Ring on the Friday before Spa next year. ?
Seems worth an extra 3 hour round trip to me.

Could well be up for this, as long as we still get plenty of drinking time

Got sucked in to watching Idiots causing crashes at the ring.

Very hard on the cars,no run off and the tracks about as wide as Proccys Richard so there will be some scruffy driving.
i think the reason behind not coinciding this with Spa was that the track was closed..

Put me down on the list as would be a great road trip....

The track looks a little slim but it would part the boys from the men.

Should've called it the nut ring as you have to be nuts to drive on it.
If Forza on the Xbox is anything to go by then you spend all the time touching both mirrors on the Armco it's that narrow.

The ring is much narrower than Spa. It suits the Coupe. A couple or three laps, then a cool down, on the road out side the main staight. You only get about 5 laps out of a tank, watch that one. It's much more a very fast, one way, A road, with crazys driving on it, than a pure track experiance. Personaly I'd spend the extra 3 hours driving around Spa, given the choice. That place is fantastic & a whole lot safer.

'Tis fine, as long as the Rent-4-Race 'hooligans' don't push you too hard, and you don't get over-enthusiastic. I had a great lap on the Monday after deciding to stay on for a track experience, and lucked out in the queue, when a Brit. biker was denied access due to wearing jeans.

Hopefully, I'll be a bit more organised next year.
