whats the opinion of you guys fitting black wheels to a coupe.
i've been looking at some black wheels and like quite a lot of them but not sure if they'd look good on a coupe or a bit chav like.

yeah black wheels looks decent on the following Coupe colours- yellow, porto, white, sprint, red, black, scots green, chrono, silver- erm all of them.
its a subtle mod in my opinion which doesn't look crazy

Doody, just to clarify, would it be the standard alloys darkened, right? no i was just looking at alloys and noticed how many black wheels were on the market. i've been looking for months for the right alloy wheels and think i've got down to two azevs a or c or the same ones flyingcustard has

Black wheels are horrible. They are a very unsubtle mod which once again is a lemming-like attempt to keep up with modern trends in "personalising" your car.
Don't do it. End of.

i was going to put black wheels with red rim on my red coupe but have decided to go silver for a fresher look. although having said that if I had a broom yellow for me it would have to be a set of dotz anthracite alloys with a yellow lip on them with matching fuel cap.

i'm not too sure about the yellow lip, i had a panda 100hp which i bought some black wheels with a polished lip, they looked good on the panda but for a coupe dont know.
a young lad round the corner from me has some black wheels on his black civic and they have a red lip don't really like them but then thats probably 'cus i hate the old civics
it's one of those where you'd have to see a picture of them on a coop they do remind me of a ferrari with wheels like that i see

I love my black wheels . The one thing that is essential though is to make sure your tyres are nice and black too. Black alloys and washed out grey tyres is not a good look (like in my sig pic just now ). Baz

For me, it's regardless of whether black wheels are fitted to the Coupe or any other make & model. It's just black wheels tend to make the tyre look grey, as said above. I'd be constantly using tyre shine stuff to keep them looking dark against the black wheel if it were my car. I guess I just associate black/dark wheels with being dirty, and bright alloy/silver wheels with looking fresh and clean.

Black wheels are ace. I have fitted 5 different sets to mine now and they all look good, especially if you have red calipers. Anthracite is also lovely but I've been having quite a few requests for white recently. BTW I may have a set of 17" satin powder coated anthracite grey Kei Force 10s coming in with Falken tyres in as new condition...

The way it works is i get a set of refurbed wheels sent to me and charged £320, as long as your old wheels are returned within 1 week and are not buckled i/you get £100 back. The company i use do it this way because they understand that not everone can park there car up for a week on axle stands while the refurb is carried out.
