Well I've sent them an e-mail to see how much it would be for them to send the parts to bonny Scotland. Just out of interest, of course.

Thanks Kingpleb, So im looking at £560 with adapter plate. Is that absolutely everything i will need? What about oil feed pipe? or anything else that might of been missed? I have heard that the actuator that ATP supply with their 28r doesnt allow the turbo to fit correctly on our cars, and a new one has to be bought to replace it, before it can be fitted. Can anyone tell me if this is true, and if so how much for an actuator? Also, once i get all the bits and pieces together, does anyone know if the ATP turbo will be harder to fit then one of the Torq Italias units? Sorry about all the questions, just want to know what i will be letting myself in for if i get the bits and pieces myslef, before i commit. Thanks for all you help guys.

Im pretty sure they are all the same units that even Hendy sourced from the states... If it comes to the worse re-use your actuator as im not sure how much a newer or an uprated one would be... That list should include everything to use all your standard pipes and whatever. if you wanted to replace the standard pipe with a braided one i would ask one of the guys thats replaced theirs what the part number is for it or the specs. PS i take no responsibility for any damage you do to your car for following the above information. its purely for research and reference purposes only

ATP-FLS-023 V-Band Adapter - GT25/GT28 $95.00 $95.00 ATP-FTG-015 Fitting, 45 deg, 1/2" NPT male to 5/8" single slip on barb $19.95 $19.95 ATP-FLA-010 Aluminum - Oil Drain Flange (GT/T25) $15.00 $15.00 ATP-FLA-011 Aluminum - GT28R/GT25R/T25 Compressor Outlet Adapter $39.00 $39.00 GRT-TBO-004 Garrett GT2860RS (aka GT28RS) $1,175.00 $1,175.00 Turbine_AR: 86 Specify_Turbine_Housing_Style: T25_IntWG Compressor_HSG: Standard_GT28RS Total: $1,343.95
I must stress that the above v-band adaptor is for a 3" v-band and will not fit either the standard downpipe or one of Barbz uprated 3" Downpipes as these all usual the standard 2.25" v-band.
As far as I know only turbodynamics are able to make up a v-band adaptor that will fit your standard downpipe.
However if you modify your downpipe you can then fit a GT style outlet of a 3" v-band, most modify to fit the GT style outlet as then there's no need for any adaptors, I'm planning on fitting one of the 3" Nissan 200sx ones to my downpipe later on in the year.
regards
Joe

No problems Joe Jamie has said that its probably easier to chop up the standard pipe and fit the oulet from a 200sx i think an S13 is the correct car to remove it from Getting a new downpipe for it shouldnt be a massive expense from what ive been told but is something else to add in. My appologies but as stated i havent fitted one of these so wasnt sure on this part.

Just Called TD and the price for them for the part is.....
£180.50+vat+delivery...
There number is.... Tel: 01202 487497
I dont know how much barbz does them for but TD will knock the price of the VAT off for club members as i was cheeky and asked. and not something they stock they make them to order as well...
Does anyone know if barbz does these direct or not and if so how much?? Im firing an email off to ATP now to see if they do a 2.25" one at all.....

Right, ATP say they can have the GT28RS go straight to a 2.25" outlet to allow it to fit the downpipe OR they can make another adaptor to allow you to reduce from the 3" down to 2.25". This is incase you wish to change your downpipe in the future.
Now say you choose the adaptor, would all that fit??

I dont think the 2 adapter option will fit to be honest.
Have they said how they would go about the 2.25" V band adapter conversion?? using another housing or fabricating something else??
Maybe we could get a template from someone and see about getting a cast made up at a local metal works and getting them made that way possibly?? Cant imagine anything being more expensive than the £180 option from TD + delivery it may be cheaper for a new downpipe to be made up...

Well they reckon they can get it 2.25" straight from the turbo, as room would be a major issue I would imagine. Plus I've not long got a new downpipe, I don't really fancy the expensive of another one... Edited to add: ATP have been a great help, friendly bunch of guys who seem really happy to help.

Cant be bothered reading the rest of the thread but there is no way that its only £580 with ALL the bits.I got my turbo secondhand and i paid more than that for the turbo plus the parts. I think i saw a figure nearer £800, but its totally less hassle to get one from Barbz to be honest. Im sure if u spoke nicely to him u could get the whole lot for about 1k.

the £800 i would say is for the RS if you imported it from the states from ATP and set aside some cash for fitting and tax The reason its cheap is cos its direct from a very big stateside company and they dont have any tax or anything and it includes delivery here as well

Trust me, the price is under £800 for the lot, and yes thats the RS. Oh and its NEW... However, I'm really not sure about the tax but for delivery they were looking to charge about $20.

Thanks for all the info so far chaps, it’s been very helpful for this tuning newbie... thanks for the patience too. I’m almost there it seems To clarify, if i order the GT28R via ATP i am looking at £580 total , as long as I don’t get any duty. If so how much is duty likely to be?? Then i need either to buy the Turbo Dynamics connection for £190 Or cut my down pipe and weld on a connector which costs? And how much to have that work done? or alternatively buy a new up-rated down pipe altogether, for around £250+? Sorry for going on, i just want to work out exactly how much it will actually cost me. Thanks again Mike

It should be cheaper than that without their adapter plate if you get the one from TD.
BUT...
IF ATP can provide the 2.5" outlet could be easier to go for that which is what ill be doing if they do offer it..
And yes the exhaust options are right but it could be more work to do the downpipe chopping...

Is this not about it fitting right if you want to fit the heatshield or the mount or something?? Looking at the pictures i cant see it being too much of a problem to be honest but i have been proven wrong..

ATP have sent me this, Quote:
Will, we've been working with some others on this, but we really want to nail this down. Do you know where we can see pics of the 2.25" v-band out of the original turbo and how it's placed in the engine bay? We want to do something that is a direct bolt-on for you guys.
Thanks!
If anyone can help us out email pics to plob@talktalk.net it would help us along quite a bit and we could get this moving along and help more people out in the future as well, anyone with a duff turbo coming or already off thier car lots of pics would help, i have already sent them all the stuff i have thats on my site but if anyone has anything else thats maybe a bit clearer than mine it would help
Thanks, Will
