hi
i'm looking to buy a coupe, however i don't know which to buy, i want a silver or black with leather. the problem i have is looking around i could either have a low milage 16vt or a high milage 20vt is there a major difference in driving experience?

I think the accepted wisdom is that you are better off with a newer car car that has been used (if cared for) than an older low mileage one.

I have drived the 16vt but the 20vt have more power (although heavier), uprated suspension and better mpg.

Whats your budget? people will give you an opinion on what you'll get for it.

Oh and you'll have a blast in either

Hi Ian,

I've had both (currently have a 20VT)and to be honest, there is very little difference in the driving experience in day to day use. The 20VT is quieter, more economical and makes a nicer noise. If I had to choose between 2 other wise identical cars, I would go for a mint 16VT rather than an average 20VT. You won't find many black 16VT's though. That colour was more popular on later cars.

Good luck with your search

you'll get a nice 20vt for that or less. A good reason for not getting the 16vt is resale in the future.

Looks lovely but he seems well chuffed that it rolling road'ed at 205bhp, or is that expected as the car is older????

I might be able to, there are a few owners around this area though so maybe someone else can look a bit sooner.
