Been thinking about this for a while.

Would there be any interest from North West coopsters in a regular, monthly Meet? Say, Tuesday evening, Pub venue that does nice, cheap food (or 2 for 1 etc).

Anyone interested, please post up and we'll see where it goes.

Sounds good to me. Lymewood just off the east lancs at haydock does a good carvery for 3.99 ar 5.99 depending whether you have a small or normal one

Chris's idea is a good one, but slightly too far for me to commit to once a month

Between myself and porkypaul, there's usually some sort of meet every month or two, in or around the area, or at least an area that's easy to travel to.

It's hard enough to get people to come to those, on a day/date that suits, never mind once a month

Hmm, I bumped this thread again before I spotted the 'NW Meet' that's going on in Blackpool (which I can't make).

But maybe we could push this one at some point as well? Or you and Porkypaul could just let us all know when you think you might have a meet Theresa?

I would definately be interested in a monthly meet possibly on a rotational basis area wise

Eg month 1. Lakes area, month 2. Blackburn, Month 3. North Wales, 4. Manchester and keep it rotating? This way people from all areas have no excuse that its too far and spreads it out a bit to be more interesting? just an idea

Myself and Paul both post up, in this section, about every meet we are arranging.

We post up weeks before a meet, with all the information and ask who wants to come along.

So, we do actually let people know when we think we might have a meet.

We don't phone each other and arrange secret meets between us and other forum users

Don't worry, I wasn't sugesting you didn't. It was just an idea for this monthly NW meet thread.

I meant a meet you could organise a meet in Liverpool if you wanted as I'm from Stoke I don't know up that end very well so it's difficult for me to do something for that area(best roads, pubs good place to meet, etc.)

I try and organise something for every month and I know Theresa does also, but these could be a bit far for you too travel.
