Following on from Webbo's post, he has asked me to pick up the reigns on this one, due to the decided location, its a bit out of Webbo's way.

So the date will be Sunday July 27th and the venue is the Grasshopper Inn in Kent. It's very close to the M25 as this map of the area shows. We can meet in the car park from 11.30 onwards. The pub does a rather nice carvery roast and can accomodate all of us, plus more. Non FCCUK members are welcome, as are partners, children and pets.

Sorry to sound stupid but i just wanted to check a few things. I only a member of the forum not yet the FCCUK does this mean its still okay for me to come along? Also i take it we can bring our partners along to?? And finaly (lol) what is the like, layout of the day... just what to expect etc, like all meeting at the grasshopper inn at 11.30 then whats the plan etc. sorry for all the questions just wondered as it'll be my 1st time !!! lol

Without knowing the details, Anthony, if this follows previous meets, it's not a club do, just an owner's get-together. There will probably be a short run where speed limits will be scrupulously enforced (yeah right ) and afterwards I rather suspect that bonnets may be opened.

They do tend to be rather informal events.

To answer:

This is open for everyone, not just members, partners are invited too.

We tend to meet at 11.30 in the car park, normally a few weeks before hand, people start to organise a drive / convoy to get there, so look out for them and join one of them if you like.

We stand around for an hour or so - rain or shine, kick tyres, lift bonnets, talk cars, etc. Then go for some grub, the return out to the cars and repeat the first part.

People start to drift off from 3/4 ish

And thats pretty much it in a nutshell....

Obviously their is one tradition you have to follow, being a newbie as you are, and thats buy the organiser a beer and lunch

It is the same day, but that's just unfortunate.
The majority of people who responded to the poll chose that day.

TOTB does not float everyones boat, but those who want to go to it will.

Sounds good, and i take it partners can come as i no my btter half would love to come to, bit gutted tho, my last coop had the italian flag painted on the rocker cover and look the bee's knee's lol, now its just peeling black as the red was peeling before that (according to the last owner) so i need to start saving to get the rocker cover done but oh well. Can't make this - real shame but have booked a driving trip (with/versus an S2000 and a Morgan Aero 8) to North Wales that weekend.
